Prevent Birds from Hitting Windows with WindowAlert Decals

Our decals are designed to be installed on the exterior of windows and reflect UV sunlight directly to the eyes of birds.

Decals installed on the interior of a window are typically less than 25% effective. Why? In this application, sunlight typically must pass through a double pane window, off the back of the decal, and then back out through the double pane window before finally reaching birds. Most of the UV sunlight is absorbed when passing through multiple panes of glass.

Space decals closer together. The American Bird Conservancy recommends spacing decals on a grid of 4" x 2"

Our decals have a coating that brilliantly reflects ultraviolet light. Like any product, man-made or natural, our decals will degrade when exposed to the elements. Direct sunlight, inclement weather, and higher elevations (greater UV exposure) accelerate degradation of the decals. For best results, reapply every four months.

Yes, it is easy to remove or reposition the decals, they are held onto the window by static cling. Prior to re-installation, restore the static cling by rinsing the decals in warm water.

If your window has an exterior tint our decals and UV liquid should not be placed on these windows. If your window as an interior or factory tint then it is safe to use our product on the exterior of these windows.
